Sherbinsky Viktor Grigorievich (1933)
The doctor of technical sciences, professor, the scientist in the field of acoustic (ultrasonic) methods and means of the testing, the winner of SM of the USSR in 1981 year and of the Russian Government premium in 1997y., since 1964 year he was researcher NPO TSNIITMASH. He is an author of eight monographies, manuals and textbooks, of more than 80 scientific works, of 55 inventions and patents.
He has carried out a cycle of researches of the reflective characteristics of real defects and qualities of acoustic contact depending on the various factors, on the basis of which he has developed the methods, means and the technological processes, which raised the reliability of detection, flaw detection and recognition of type of defects of the welding joints, widely introduced for the regular testing objects of major importance and, first of all, energomechanic equipment of thermal and atomic power stations.
