Paton Boris Evgenievich (1918)
Paton Boris Evgenievich is a scientist in the fields of metallurgy and welding, the academician of the RAS (Russian Academy of Sciences) and since 1962 year -the president of the Ukrainian SSR of SA and twice the Hero of Social Labour. He is the winner of Lenin prize and of the State premiums .He was awarded with four orders: ”The Orders of Lenin”, “The Order of October Revolution”, “The Order of the Red Banner of Labour “,”The Order of Friend calculations ship of Nations”, The Gold Lomonosov medal.
He is an author of 835 books, brochures and articles. He created electro slag welding, offered electro slag remelt of steels and alloys, carried out researches in the field of special electrometallurgy. The initiator of works in all directions of NDT of welding joints.
